The Vatican said Catholics shouldn’t try and convert Jews. What about this?
“Then He told them: Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to all creation. The man who believes in it and accepts Baptism will be saved; the man who refuses to believe in it will be condemned.” (Mark 16:15-16)God did not exclude the Jews. On the contrary He started with the Jews first. Jesus never was about confusing us about anything He ever said. He never minced His words. He means what He says here in Mark 16. And we are to carry out His instruction. We are to convert the Jews.
It matters whether or not you believe in Baptism. It matters what you believe in concerning Baptism. It matters whether or not you believe in what our Lord Himself laid down as the condition of faith. Baptism is absolutely necessary for salvation. Baptism is indispensable to all our spiritual lives, no matter who we are or what belief system we are born into. The sin of Adam and Eve lost for them, and for all their children, the title to eternal happiness. There are no exceptions.
Yes it is possible for non-Christians who do not know Christ or His Church to enjoy salvation. But this is through Baptism of desire and God alone is the judge of this.
It matters whether or not a person accepts it or rejects the truth about Jesus and Baptism when they encounter it in such a way as the Holy Spirit is able to convict that person of this truth. This holds true for Jew, Moslem, Buddhist, Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Agnostic onto Atheist. There are no exceptions.
It will not go well for those Christians, especially those in high places like the Vatican who go the way of the world in playing politics rather than in following Christ. No one is above the rebuke of the Lord.
God loves everyone and He pours out His grace upon all to see the truth and embrace it. He pours it out also that everyone repent when necessary for having gone against the truth.
The unbaptized ( including Jews)who refuse to believe in Christ or in His doctrine upon encountering the truth of Jesus in such a way as to believe it are guilty of the sin of infidelity. Those who have not heard of Christ in a manner of acceptance are not responsible for their ignorance and are not guilty of this sin of infidelity. They are called heathens.
Coerced conversions are always against God no matter the religion doing so. We Christians are to have respect for all who are non-Christians. But we also are to have enough love for God and for them to speak the truth to them about salvation through Christ and to offer that salvation through Christ our Lord and Savior to them. We are all about converting all in need of Baptism which removes original sin and which brings one the virtue of faith in Christ.
I caution anyone who is a Christian saying ” do not convert the Jews” not do not promote what is not of God in this last hour of the last days. There is an strong evil attempt now by Satan to have us believe that all religions are equal. Do not promote that which is of Satan.
Whereas God does have a means for salvation for some who are not actually Baptized as a Christian( Baptism of Desire) we are to always promote and carry out His command. See again Mark 16:15-16.
Jesus prayed for us that we would deliver His truth to all in the world. And He prayed for all those in the world who will believe in Him through our word. How shall the world know that the Father sent Jesus if we give another message? A confusing one? We who are consecrated in the truth have God living in us.
Woe to those who do not show the unity of God and us! See John 17: 19-26.
Christ is with me. He has called me to the task. As puzzling a choice that may be nevertheless I will do as He asks: I Say to you: Do not abandon your faith over political correctness or any other reason. Do not do it. Not about conversion of the Jews or any other matter of the day such as abortion, or the legalization of homosexual acts and same sex marriages which are an abomination to God and the like. You are needed by God to hold fast to Him in all these matters in a time of great confusion and of a great falling away from Christ by many Baptized.
The Jews remain God’s chosen people of the Old Testament. But in need of Christ are they all. To see just how wrong a person is who says there is no need for we who are Baptized to convert the Jews of our time you need only read the Holy Word of God. ” I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God leading everyone who believes in it to salvation, the Jew first, then the Greek( Gentile).”(Romans 1:16),
The just man( the saved man) shall live by faith. ( Romans 1:17) God’s justice begins and ends with faith in Jesus Christ.
It is precisely through the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ our Lord and Savior that God chose to manifest His saving will and power. To negate this with any people without Christ saying that they need not be converted is to go against God.
I appeal to all Christians on either side of the matter; what St Paul, who was a converted Jew who once persecuted those in his time with this faith in Christ we have, taught is that it is through Jesus and His teaching for this faith given to us by Him that one is saved. And this is to be held by all the world including those who are of the Jewish religion as well as all others in the world.
St Paul said: “Indeed, I could even wish to be separated from Christ for the sake of my brothers, my kinsmen the Israelites ( Jews).” (Romans 9:3) St Paul was telling us how much he loved his fellow Jews not in Christ. He was telling us who could be frustrated in the future by their non-conversion to have that same great love for them. And now there this danger, one among many dangers of the times, to aid in their destruction and in our destruction. Wisdom from God be yours.
Those bent on the trend to more confusion which will lead to more apostasy from Christ, you are warned , not being with Christ in this last hour of the last days is to be with Satan. Do not go on to prepare the way of the antichrist. Go on to prepare the way of the Lord Jesus Christ who is coming again soon.
” Therefore let all the House of Israel know beyond a doubt that God has made this Jesus whom you crucified both Lord and Christ.” (Acts 2:36)
Anyone who changes or adds to the words of God’s Holy Book, God will visit him with all the plagues described herein. See Rev. 22:18.
If anyone takes away from the words of Holy Scripture, God will take away his share in the tree of life and the holy city described there! ( Rev. 19) Be with God! As hard as it may come to be , be with God!
Beware the sheep in wolves clothing in Christendom. There are many. Many in high places of influence! They tell you falsehoods in the name of Christ.
I leave you with this: On Pentecost three thousand Jews were converted by St Peter. Our Lord Jesus Christ in His holy Word clearly indicates what He wants of us. We are to the salt of the earth, giving it the flavor of heaven our home. We are to be the light of Christ by giving an example of a good Christian life lived in accordance with the teaching of our faith. We are to explain when given the opportunity and prompting of the Holy Spirit our Holy faith. And we are to do this with everyone including the Jews. Always we must live our Holy faith and resolve perseveringly to make it grow in our own heart and in the hearts of others.
Your brother who loves Jesus and who loves you, Eddie
