The book and the movie, the Da Vinci Code, these anti-Catholic (Christian), anti-God acts, this kind of blind and excessive adoration for fame and profit in this kind of idolatry, will not go unpunished if not repented of.

Certain things are taboo by God. You don’t think of doing them. You don’t do them. You don’t ever take part them in any way.

Why are such works of evil being done? There are those who have no fear of God. There are those who heed the influence of Satan.

Adam and Eve owed everything to God who had made them. But they were false to their trust. And we, the decedents of that guilty pair, are all born into this world in the state of original sin, subject to the anger of God at Adam and Eve’s offense, deprived of those gifts which made up the state of original justice, bereft of the friendship of God and harried by the devil. Because of the loss of grace and integrity, we experience an inclination to excess and sin. We are solicited to evil arising from the world,the flesh and the devil.

And so you have it- The inordinate tendency for power, superiority, and honor which is the ” pride of life” or self-worship and the inordinate tendency to acquire money and other things of this earth, along with the unwholesome curiosity to see, hear, and know everything.

There is concupiscence of the eyes. There is the self-worship spoken of. And there is the concupiscence of the flesh. St. John spoke of the triple tendency to sin in his epistle. See 1 John 2:16.

Also leading many down the wrong road to do such things with no fear of God is the error of naturalism which plagues us. This is committed by that group of people who hold to the belief that human nature is completely good and that it has no unruly tendencies. They act in denial of such things as original sin and the need for redemption. They raise nature itself to the level of God.

Further complicating matters and contributing to such things taking place which dishonor God are the false doctrines being taught and believed by many Christians. False doctrines such as that of “eternal security” have crept so deeply into the lives of many in Christianity that now even few Christians control their inclinations and passions by Christian self-denial, and by the use of grace. Many Christians speak of God’s grace but few use it as they must. Make no mistake about it, the false gospel of eternal security has many Christians imprisoned to unholy witness and a surprise ending in death that is a horror.

Because of this false thinking, and this false witness of so many Christians, our civilization is being destroyed. It is to the point now, that God is being removed in every arena with little opposition. And when He is not being removed He is being mocked.

Where is the Christian outcry? With many Christians not living their lives right and doing so thinking themselves saved by the Blood of Jesus, few have a right sense of sin and how they must oppose it. They cannot deal with the sinful acts in the world properly. For they are not dealing with the sinful acts in Christendom ( The Kingdom of God on earth) properly. Satan is having great success with his plan to destroy us.

Satan conquered Eve at one point. But God predicted that Eve would still crush Satan’s head. She did this in the Immaculate Virgin Mary and in Jesus Christ, the God-man, Mary’s son. God reveled this secret of His loving mercy to Adam and Eve in the very hour of their fall. Even before He pronounced His just sentence of punishment upon them. God strengthened them to accept the decree without despair. And God foretold the downfall of Lucifer and promised to redeem the human race when He said: ” I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will strike at your head, while you strike at his heel.” Gen.3:15.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  God preserved Mary from original sin from the very moment of her conception, that is , from the moment in which He created her beautiful soul and breathed it into her spotless body. God granted this to her in view of the merits of Jesus Christ and because she was chosen by Him to become the mother of Jesus who is God. And Jesus, “The Son of God appeared that he might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

Da Vinci Code, both the book and the movie, flies in the face of all that God has done. God is mocked. And in the minds of many, God is pulled down to the level of men.

Da Vinci Code violates the commandments of God. It more than takes His name in vain. It offends the Holiness of God in a very big and public way.

Do not take the wrong stand. In so many ways does this evil sow the plan of Satan ever deeper into the hearts of men.

How can any man of God who fears God and knows of His holiness and His commands not condemn such as this? Yet many of them call the book a good novel and the movie very entertaining.

Jesus did not marry. He never sinned nor joined himself to sin in any way. To portray God in this way for any reason is blasphemous. All those associated with the movie-the actors, director, and producers and so on are in great peril of loss of their souls to Satan -the master of evil. All those who support the book and the movie are likewise in the same great peril.

Especially guilty of sin concerning this matter are the priests and ministers who have taken the wrong stance.
