Healing miracles are signs of God’s glory and the truth about Jesus. They are not instant solutions to the annoyances, difficulties and sufferings of human life.

The healing miracles of Jesus in the Gospels of Jesus Christ show that He had power but chose humility. The example we are to follow is so clear. Yet so many men of God are giving a wrong example of Jesus Christ. And many follow their lead.

Much that is going on is a fraud and scandalous. Christians who feed on their desires alone walk their own path. They do not walk in Christ’s footsteps.

If we sincerely desire to belong to God do we seek enjoyments in this life, or do we suffer in all things and embrace eagerly all that may come our way, good or bad?

What is the will of God? God wishes all of us to be saints. St. Paul said it: “ This is the will of God, your sanctification.”

Jesus can and does heal. But those who are cured of bodily illness must one day die. What is important is that Jesus’ work is to bring about a healing which will endure through death. He heals the wounds of sin, and bodily cures are signs of this. They are signs of a war against evil.

Jesus never performed a miracle for His own benefit or to put on a spectacle. He avoided anything that might bring the miracle into a sphere of the show-piece or that might make of it a mere demonstration of power.

I caution all with the mark of Christ, Jesus’ miracles were not performed before a public, but directed to persons. He did not play to an audience. Our Lord acted out of mercy, kindness and compassion.

Many men of God with healing ministries need to fall on their knees and seek God’s forgiveness for their un-humble scandalous behavior in those ministries.

Healing miracles are to be performed, but according to the will of God and in a manner resembling that of Jesus our Lord.

Jesus’ healing miracles are forms of selfless service. Jesus does not want people following Him because they are impressed with His miracles of healing. He does want the hurting healed. But He never wants to impress people with His power.

Do not reject the truth that Jesus does not need to prove Himself to disbelievers.

For the most part men of God with healing ministries in the name of Jesus today do not portray Jesus as they should. They are on power trips.

God is a God of mercy, kindness, compassion, peace and love. A healing ministry is not something God would never call anyone to. But our motives are important. The way we go about things in Him are important. We must conduct ourselves in a manner pleasing to Jesus. Let the Holy Spirit lead you.

The power to heal is of the Lord God. Our duty is to Him.

To you men of God who are preachers and ministers of power and not of Jesus Christ according to God’s Holy Will, I say this and I say it in the Lord: To act the way you do, putting your faith in power, you give up your faith in the Holy Spirit.

We, who are the Church of Jesus Christ, have no power other than the life of Christ in us, His members of His Body. And this life is not subject to compulsion. Power is the most ascetic and spiritual of vices. It is also the most diabolical!

We are to believe in and pray for miracles. Jesus promised to continue the power of miracles in His Church.” But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out devils, then the reign of God is upon you.” (Luke 11:20)

Healing must always be concerned with the whole person, body and soul. A healing ministry must seek to alleviate every human pain and disability, whether physical, psychological, or spiritual.
