Love your enemies

Jesus told us to love our enemies.

Just who are our enemies? Who or what are we to love? Who or what are we to hate? Anyone? Anything? Are we to love the Devil?

Our three main enemies to our souls are, the world, the flesh, and the Devil.

We are not to love the world or the things of the world. We are not to love the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life. Nor are we to love the Devil who is the prince and god of this world who hates the true God, and us, and who is dead set against Jesus and His ways. (Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 2 Corinthians 4:4)

It is the rebellious anti-God ways and principles of the world that we are to hate. (1 John 2:15-17) It is not the created world that we are to hate.

“You have heard the commandment, ‘You shall love your countryman but hate your enemy.’ My command to you is: love your enemies, pray for your persecutors. (Matthew 5:43-44)

Who are these enemies we are to love?

Our enemies we are to love are those of mankind who are opposed or hostile to us. For us Christians who are in good standing with God, our enemies include those who are opposed or hostile to God and His way for us and for them to live.

God loves everyone, good and bad. When we love our enemies, we prove we are sons and daughters of God. (Mathew 5:45)

Jesus wants us to love the unloved and unloving. He wants the cycle of rejection and hate broken. God invites the rebellious to respond to His love for them through the example of His people who are true to Him showing them love and not hate by His grace.

Our love of our enemies is an extension of God’s love to them.

The Word of God says we are to feed our enemy if he is hungry and give him drink if he is thirsty. By doing this we heap burning coals upon their heads. We are not to be conquered by evil. We are to conquer evil with good by the grace of God. The burning coals bring about either remorse and embarrassment for the harm done, or increased punishment for refusing reconciliation. (Romans 12:20; Proverbs 25:21-22)

But we are not to love our enemies in just a worldly way. We are to love them also in a spiritual way by feeding them the truth in God and giving them the water of life.

God is Truth. The water of life is God. It is the Holy Spirit, who convicts all mankind of our wrongdoing. It is Jesus who died for our sins and who showed us the way to live. It is God the Father who created us and who welcomes us all into His Kingdom. (Revelation 22:1-5)

God loves all of us who are His created mankind, good and bad. With God living in us we do the same. However, this love of God for all does not mean that God turns a blind eye to the wickedness of the bad. Nor does this mean we are not to stand against evil doing.

Love of God and of His and our enemies does not mean we live by appeasement of wickedness. Loving your enemies is not an excuse for being complacent in the heat of the fight between good and evil. Something has gone very wrong in the thinking and acting of many Christians.

Loving our enemies never means going along with them in their evil doing. Nor does it mean that in many instances we are not to oppose them when what they want goes against God and mankind living out God’s will. As others have rightly said: This would be a suicidal love!

Loving your enemies does not mean that in many cases we are not to stay clear of them. You may end up going along with their folly. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Loving those who are living by moral depravity and the false teachings of men and women who are prevailing in this last hour of the last days, means doing as God’s Word says: It means we are to oppose them with the preaching of God’s truth. It means, whether convenient or inconvenient, we are to correct, reprove, and appeal, constantly teaching and never losing heart at it. (2 Timothy 4:2)

We do not give those doing evil to us or to others approval by being silent and cowardly. We do not give them a warped love, as so many of in Christendom now, so called politically correct, do!

When people do things that deserve death in God’s eyes, when they entice you and others to do the same and approve of it, such as abortion or acts of homosexuality, our love for them is not to assist them in their eternal self-destruction. If you do this, you join with them in your own eternal destruction. (Romans 1:1-32)

God demands that we warn the wicked of their evil doing and try and dissuade them from their evil conduct when we can do so. If we do not do this, then God will hold us responsible for their eternal death. (Ezekiel 3:18)

If on the other hand, we have warned those we see doing wickedness, and they do not heed that warning and repent, then they shall die lost for their sins, but we shall save our eternal souls. (Ezekiel 3:19)

This goes the same when we see a good person turn away from God in some way and we do not warn that person. God will hold us responsible for his or her eternal death. (Ezekiel 3:20)

An example of this would be when you see a mother who you have known to be one who strives to be God fearing woman who then succumbs to the world pressure to act in harmony with its thinking and goes along with her daughter getting an abortion, let us say, or who goes along with her daughter or son moving in with a gay lover, if you do not warn her of her choosing the world and her child over God and of her leaving God, God will hold you responsible for her eternal death.

But if you warn her and she stays on her new course to damnation, you shall save your own eternal life. (Ezekiel 3: 21)

This is no easy thing to do. To show this kind of love. And often it will bring upon you persecution in this evil treading world we now live in.

When our Lord saw evil doing, He rebuked it. When He saw evil doers, He rebuked them. And we must do the same.

“When he saw that many of the pharisees and Sadducees were stepping forward for this bath, he said to them: You brood of vipers! Who told you to flee from the wrath to come? Give some evidence that you mean to reform.”

(Matthew 3:7-8)

“How can you utter anything good, you brood of vipers, when you are so evil? (Matthew 12:34)

“ Woe to you scribes and Pharisees, you frauds! You shut the doors of the kingdom of God in men’s faces, neither entering yourselves nor admitting those who are trying to enter. You travel over sea and land to make a single convert, but once he is converted you make a devil of him twice as wicked as yourselves. It is an evil day for you, blind guides! (Matthew 23: 13-16)

“Jesus entered the temple precincts and drove out all those engaged there in buying and selling. He overturned the money-changers tables and the stalls of the dove-sellers, saying to them: ‘Scripture has it, my house shall be called a house of prayer, but you are turning it into a den of thieves.’ (Matthew 21:12-13)

In all these cases do you think Jesus hated or loved those He was rebuking?

Most men of God today are like the scribes and Pharisees of His time, only worse. Houses of prayer? Houses of Dr feel good sermons and of false teachings, and of greed!

When it comes to exposing evil, they do little or nothing of that. Often instead they use the Holy Word of God in their favor to justify their wrongful actions saying such things as “Do not judge others or you will be judged. (Matthew 7-1-5)

They misuse God pointing out that you are never to be a hypocrite when you make judgments. The point God is making is that you are not to point out someone else sin when you are doing the same. He is not saying do not address sin.

You men of God so off track with your preaching, how is it that you not see your bringing about the downfall of many a Christian? You and all the rebellious towards God need His rebuke. The big question is: How many of you will tolerate it and respond to it favorably? (Malachi 3:1-3)

Most now in Christendom are living in a manner which embraces some evil or another. Most love the things of the world over God’s will. Most love the false teachings about love and sin and judging.

Woe to you men of God today who refuse God’s rebuke who are much to blame for the great apostasy from God of so many Christians today!

Woe to all the rebellious in Christendom who loves the lies and who also refuse God’s rebuke!

Do not get it wrong, it truly is now a majority in Christendom who do not know God as they should.

Hear! Open your ears, you who are among that majority! Be open to God, to what He has to say to you, that you do not perish. If you do not change your beliefs and ways, if you do not hear and respond to God’s rescue of you from the follies of so many men of God and from your own love of unsound doctrine and you’re following your own desires, you will hear these words from the mouth of God: “I never knew you. Out of my sight, you evildoers! “(Matthew7:23)

All of you who are willing to do it, see (2 Timothy 4:3-4) and know the gravity of the obligation incumbent upon all those who preach the Word of God, and of the obligation of all those who listen- to discern properly based on sound doctrine.

Things are not so cut and dry as they are being made out to be. Things like loving our enemies.

Loving our enemies is to witness to them God’s love which they and all of us are greatly in need of and being aware of. We are to do this even to the point of being hated by them.

Loving our enemies means to pray for them even as they do hate us. Loving our enemies means not wishing evil upon them even as they wish evil upon us.

When I was in the Marine Corps training to kill our enemies, I would see on many of the helmets written such things as Kill VC or F the VC. I remember saying: “It is bad enough we will have to kill them; we should not like it. We do not need to brag on it. We shouldn’t hate them. It is not the right attitude for us to have when we could be meeting our maker.”

Here is Holy Scripture to bear that out: “Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and when he stumbles, let not your heart exult, Lest the Lord see it, be displeased with you and withdraw His wrath from your enemy” (Proverbs 24:17)

There are times when you must confront your enemies, all kinds of them, in all kinds of ways. The point is to do what you must do in the light of God, loving them and not hating them.

We do not repay evil for evil. But we do act in a manner which is right in the eyes of God and everyone. And many times, that is saying and doing some very hard things. (Romans 12:17-19)

You will be denied heaven if you live in hypocrisy to what your faith in Christ demands.

For example, you cannot go along with, nor attend a gay marriage, which is no marriage at all in the eyes of God. This kind of thing is an act of rebellion. It is an abomination to God Almighty.

To the many of you cowering behind the words of our Lord, “Love your enemies”, who are doing so in a very real way concerning you’re not exposing evil doing and you’re condoning evil doing , who instead are looking the other way, and who support wickedness in your cowardice, ask yourself: How can I love what God hates and condemns and be right with Him?

Don’t love what is evil and perish in that love for it. Don’t help the Devil in his last stand against God. Don’t give your soul over to him. Don’t help him win other souls from our Lord.

Be open to God. Be open to His rebuke. Repent from all that is wicked.

Look, let us say you are a practicing, active, homosexual who finds it very hard to believe you need to repent, or you just find it hard to stop committing this iniquity, because that is what it is, God loves you and He is there for you. He does not hate you. Nor does He abandon you. He pours down His grace upon you to conquer the very strong demons of sodomy. But it does no good for Him to do so if you do not use His grace.

All of you undergoing the test of sodomy, know that your brothers and sisters who are not undergoing this test have their own tests to conquer by the love and grace of God. I have my own. God will always be there for you, and for all your brothers and sisters undergoing other kinds of temptation from demons, and for me with my own testing. God is for us all and not against any of us whom He loves, both good and bad.

If you seek God honestly, apart from what the false teachers are saying, apart from your own desire to what you want instead of what God wants, and you make up your mind to change your ways, though you fall again and again into that trap of Satan’s for your soul, at some point your desire to be true to God will win out. Believe it! Believe it, all of you, no matter what the temptation and test you are undergoing!

God loves all, good and evil doers. And we are to love one another, no matter the camp in which we reside, that of God or that of Satan.

Telling someone the truth is not an act of hatred. It is an act of love.

And know this: Never should anyone who rebukes another in the love of service of God, do so looking down at the other. We are all on the same level. We are all harassed by the Devil. We all can, and most of us do, fall into his ways from time to time. In other words, we sin.

The difference between one sinner and another is that one who loves God as he or she should will be sorry and repent and resolve not to commit his or her sin again, whereas one who does not love God as he or she should will not allow the Holy Spirit to convict him or her of it, nor will that person repent of it with any real resolve not to commit it again.

Always keep this is mind: Whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy to God. (James 4:4) (1 John 2:15)

There are a whole lot of us Christians who are joining with evil doing because of the wrong preaching telling us to stop judging and to love our enemies.

We are to judge. But not by appearances but by making an honest judgment. (John 7:24)

If we love our enemies, we are to rebuke them and not flatter them in their doing what is wrong and hated by God. (Proverbs 28:23)

He or she who does what is wrong, or who sees another doing what is wrong, and who calls it no sin, is a partner of Satan the greatest brigand of all. (Proverbs 28: 24)

Being an accomplice of those doing what is wrong (abortion, sodomy, fornication, adultery, transgenderism, theft, lying – such as for political gain, slandering, and so on, is to be your own enemy. In doing so you put yourself under a curse as you disclose nothing. (Proverbs 29:24)

A very big problem right now is that many of us Christians who are to be a light of Christ to this dying world are afraid of offending the wicked in it. Fools! This fear has you snared by the Devil.

I tell you true to God and by the anointing and calling I have from Him: Only those of you who trust in the Lord above all else are safe on the day of your judgment. (Proverbs 29:25)

To be with God and help rescue the lost souls in this world requires a love for them that does spiritual judging in all things. (1 Corinthians 2:15)

Be with God. Love your enemies for real. Always do the hard and right thing in all matters. We can do it by using God’s grace that He is pouring down upon us.

“Blest are those of you persecuted for holiness’ sake; the reign of God is theirs.” (Mathew 5:10)

Bless those oh Lord, who are persecuted in the cause of right over wrong. Help those who tend to join the crowd to be brave and not cowardly. Help all who will be loyal to you over the world to stand alone if necessary and fight, with love, for your Church and your ways, for your commands and principles.

“Blest are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of slander against you because of me.” (Matthew 5:11)

Lord God, help those of your people who can still be reached by you, who tend to change their opinions, retract their beliefs and statements and who become silent in the midst of the majority who now have left you in one way or another.

Help them Holy Spirit! Help them with your gift of Fortitude to form their opinions by your standards, to bravely state the faith and morals you expect those who love and follow Christ to proclaim, and to help them resist all forms of permissiveness.

Holy Spirit, as you know, so many Christians now live lives that are disturbed by their adherence to the Father’s will and Commandments. Help them. Convict them. Give them your grace to have perseverance, courage, and strength to withstand the very clever and successful attack of the great enemy to souls which is Satan, and also the other great onslaught of another great enemy to souls which is the world.

I plead the precious Blood of Jesus upon all of us who are Christians, that our souls be purified, that our consciences be sensitive to sin and to the Commandments of God, that we be brave to give the hard love of rebuke which is so needed, and that we do it with humble and contrite hearts of our own.

You have called me to the task, Lord Jesus Christ, to be a messenger of yours to sit and refine and purify with you the sons of Levi and all your people, and all others who will give you heed. You have called me to the task, oh Lord, with the anointing of Elijah, to turn the hearts of mothers and fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their mothers and fathers, that you’re second coming be prepared for properly by your prophetic light. I have not always done this task very well. Please forgive me, Lord.

Please forgive me, Lord, and please hold back your wrath a little longer that more be given the chance to hear what is from you, and to heed what is from you, and to turn their hearts to each other and to you in your love shown by your precious Blood shed on the Cross of redemption.

I have held back. I will hold back no longer.

Prepare the way of the Lord Jesus Christ!

People of God, every unguarded word and action we will all be held accountable for. God is angry. He is about to unleash that anger upon a world which is more evil than in the time of Noah. But death may sneak up upon you sooner than that. This is a time of renewal and repentance.

Do not fail to recognize God’s hand in things and to respond to Him. Do not reject His renewal and His call to repentance.

If you are burdened by God’s laws and His gospel, then you are in great need of the grace God is giving you to live otherwise. Use it to walk with Him and not away from Him.

The great apostasy from Christ is in full bloom. What kind of love do you have for God, for your loved ones, and for your enemies?

An insincere love, a cowardly love, a traitorous love, a polluted love is displeasing to God.

It is all about what is in your heart when you do the things that you do.

Ask yourself: Am I doing what I am doing with a love that is pure? Am I doing what I am doing with a love that is impure? Am I doing what I am doing with no love at all but rather with scorn and hate?

Our Father in heaven loves all people without qualification. He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and He sends rain on the just and on the unjust. (Matthew 5:45)

What we must do is first receive the love that Jesus can alone give us. Then we must allow the indwelling Holy Spirit to make known to us the limitless resources of Jesus’ love. To the degree in which we abide in the love of Jesus is the degree to which we are able to love others.

Thank you for creating me Lord God Almighty. Thank you for every moment of my life. Thank you for loving me the way you do. In your mercy you sent your only son, Jesus into this world to die for my sins. I ask your forgiveness for all my sins, and for all my failures to you in your plan for me in my life.

Jesus, my Savior, you are my Lord and my all. Send your Holy Spirit upon me to enlighten me to the Father’s will and to your way of living this precious life given to me. Teach me to love you more from the depths of my heart.

All praise and glory to you Father my Creator, to you Jesus His only begotten not made Son, who is my Redeemer, and to you Holy Spirit fully God, co-eternal and co-equal with God the Father and God the Son, who is my guide, my protector and my comforter, now and forever!
