The Sinner’s Prayer
The Sinner’s Prayer is a prayer of many versions asking one to accept Jesus as Savior. The problem is that praying this prayer is not what God said you must do to be saved. It is not the plan of salvation. Rather it often frustrates God’s plan of salvation.
Though there are many voices, and there is much confusion as to who does or does not speak for God, and making things even more complicated, there is discernment based on false doctrine and not true, one must not fail to heed God in that voice which is truly His in the Body of Christ.
Jesus is coming again. Come out from what thwarts God’s true plan of salvation. Leave what is of the great apostasy. Prepare for the Lord a straight path!
There is something very wrong with this kind of prayer: Just accept Christ into your heart through prayer and he’ll receive you. It doesn’t matter what church you join. It does not matter if you ever get baptized or you ever do good works, no matter what you will be saved. You’ll be born again at the moment you receive Christ. Just let Him into your heart. You don’t have to worry about your sins anymore. Just trust Christ as Savior. God loves you and forgives you unconditionally. Say these words after me: “I accept you Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Come into my heart.” You are now saved.
This kind of Sinner’s Prayer is a method of conversion which is one of the causes of the downfall of Christianity in these last days. This kind of mentality to salvation in Christ misleads one and traps one into one of Satan’s best ploys. It is to be exposed and opposed for what it is.
This kind of Sinner’s Prayer does not free one from original sin. Baptism is necessary. Nor does it guarantee immunity from the effect of mortal actual sin after acceptance of Jesus. To sin after coming to Jesus is to merit hell and not heaven.(Hebrews 10:26-30)
Woe to you men of God who refuse to repent of your wrongful thinking and go on promising people freedom which cannot be, a freedom which leads those who have just left a polluted world by recognizing Jesus as Lord and Savior vulnerable to not only to be caught up in sin again but having this last condition being worse than their first!( 2 Peter 17-22)
Jesus never taught easy salvation. In Luke, 10:25 Jesus is asked, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus turns the question back on the lawyer who asks it. The lawyer replies with the Old Testament commands to love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself (Mt. 22:34-40) . Jesus affirms his answer: “You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live.” The lawyer then tries to narrow the meaning of neighbor. So Jesus tells the unforgettable parable of the compassionate Samaritan, who proved to be a neighbor to a bleeding roadside victim. (Luke 10:30-37) In Luke 18:18 Jesus is asked “Good teacher, what must I do to share in everlasting life? In this passage Jesus answers the question of what to do to gain salvation with these words: “You know the commandments.” (Luke 18:20)
Salvation is a state of freedom whereby we live not as we please, sinfully, but in favor in God’s eyes. It is our cooperating with God’s grace. God calls us to leave our own agenda and trust him completely. He calls us to be changed radically in our thoughts and our behavior. Complete trust in God with radical change of our thoughts and behavior calls for both right belief and right action. Without this there is no salvation.
God is salvation. Realize that not even faith (Rom.10:9-13) or conversion (Acts 3:19; 5:31) or reception of Baptism (Acts 22:16:1 Pt 3:21) or constancy throughout life (2 Thess. 2:10) can gain for us the right to salvation. But also realize that these are the forerunners of attainment through the efficacy of the redemptive sacrifice of Christ.
The normal conclusion of apostolic preaching and teaching is not that one says the sinner’s prayer asking Jesus into your heart. It is that you reform and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ; that your sins be forgiven, and that you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:37-41) It is that you receive the Blessed Trinity into your soul and you live on in the full of God’s sanctifying grace. It is that everything Jesus commanded is to be carried out. It is that you have the power of God in you never to sin again. It is that you have the conviction of the Holy Spirit should you sin, to call you back into the light of Christ. And it is that you have the Father’s loving arms welcoming you each and every time you sincerely repent. This is what is to be preached and taught.
Has it been said that the Holy Spirit must wait, then, to descend upon the believer who confesses Jesus on his lips? God, who reads the hearts of men, pours out His Spirit upon whom He chooses when He chooses. He does not have to wait for anything or anyone. This does not allow any of us, however, to be presumptuous. It does not ever make unnecessary for anyone the Holy Sacrament of Baptism. Woe to those men of God doing away with that which links all who have been reborn by means of it- the Holy Sacrament of Baptism ! (1 Cor. 12:13)
“For if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Faith in the heart leads to justification, confession of the lips to salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10) Read carefully these words spoken by Saint Paul which are the Word of God. Do not twist them. In the case of an adult a profession of faith is required before receiving Baptism. Faith in the heart leads to justification- the main efficient cause or agent of which is the mercy of God; the main instrument cause of which is the Holy Sacrament of Baptism, which is also called the sacrament of Faith to spell out the necessity of faith for salvation. What St. Paul says here in the Word of God about faith does not negate but supports that we are to obey God’s revealed will concerning what must be done for Christ to be in us and us in Christ.
The words of truth in Romans 10 are not a new doctrine which replaces these: “I solemnly assure you, no one can enter into God’s kingdom without being begotten of water and Spirit.” (John 3:3) , and these: “Full authority has been given to me both in heaven and on earth; go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations. Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matt. 28:19) , and these: “Are you not aware that we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Through baptism into his death we were buried with him, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live a new life.” (Romans 6:3-4) St. Paul’s words are not to be twisted any longer. Those who do so, having heard the rebuke of the Lord, will answer to the Lord.
In the past Israel was promised particular benefits for observance of the law but in Christ the law was fulfilled. It is faith in Jesus which is the source of saving action for Jew and Gentile alike. This is what St. Paul is saying. He is not stating a new doctrine of salvation which would prohibit the sacrament of Baptism by making it null and void.
None of God’s Foods for life are to be prohibited any longer. For centuries now the sacrament of Confession, Confirmation, Matrimony, the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and the most sacred sacrament of the Holy Eucharist have also been deviated from and not just God’s Food of Baptism. It is as it was prophesied. These sacraments of salvation are to be restored to all who will have the truth in this last hour of the last days. God created these foods of His to be received with thanksgiving by believers who know the truth. Don’t be among those professing Christ in this hour who will reject what is holy by God’s Word and by prayer.4See 1 Timothy 4:1-5. See it with God’s eyes!
Erroneous trends have gained the upper hand in this last hour of the last days in Christendom. They have so much momentum. Free yourself from Satan’s further infiltration of the Christendom and from his plan of destruction from within.
These erroneous trends have spread to all levels of Christian life. They have led to a disregard of the truth and to the forbidding of God’s foods of salvation. And they have led to a moral permissiveness and to the contradiction of Divine Law. Truths taught by our Savoir Jesus Christ have fallen like dominoes. The “Fortified Peace” is under siege. Yet the leaders, of both Judah (Catholicism) and of Israel (Protestantism) seem unwilling to rectify the situation.
So progressive are so many professing the name of Christ now that most are not willing to repent and be rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
As the falling away from Christ grows so does the running away from the Holy Spirit to change it.
Only in a partnership with the Holy Spirit will anyone be able to accomplish God’s will. The Holy Spirit supplies guidance, initiative and strength. But the counterfeit spirit is being preferred by most.
Hate this rebuke and what you hate is that which is from God. It is God who moves me to the task.
Let each and every one of us ask our self, “Am I among those so progressive? Am I off in the distance? Could it be? Could that be why I cannot see nor hear this departure?”
A little pride can turn into a huge gap between us and God. As it stands at the moment, even anointed men of God charged with the rescue of His people are far off in the distance. They too, are finding it hard to open their eyes and ears to the truth of the great apostasy from Christ. Whether walking or running off from Christ, they are slipping out of the Christian religion into the adoration of self, of their prejudices and preferences, of the world, and into a new religion which masquerades as the Christian Faith.
Who will you follow? Will you follow the Spirit of Faith, Hope, Love, Peace, Obedience and Restoration? Or will you follow the spirit of pride, compromise, appeasement, confusion, hypocrisy and apostasy?
The new Christianity, of a false faith, a false love, a false hope, a false peace, a false obedience and a false healing in Christ, has as its cornerstone the counterfeit spirit.
The doctrines of demons, such as that of the false security in Christ give way to sin. Beware of the false teachings giving way to sin and to disunity in the name of Christ and of unity. The counterfeit spirit poses as the Holy Spirit and is preferred by many in Christendom. It is the voice of Babel! Do not heed this voice!
The harlot Church is so very attractive. It is thought to be so full of the grace of Christ. But it is really full of Satan’s light. It goes to no end in its presumption and hypocrisy (even whole denominations have accepted evils such as abortion and homosexuality). It denies it is a new religion as it mocks religion, using words which are Christian but their meaning is very often not Christian. It reduces Law, both Divine and ecclesiastical to suggestions. It does away with the sacraments (God’s Food for His people). It makes the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass insignificant in a time of God wanting all His people to know Him in the Holy Eucharist.
The faithless spouse of Christ is captivated by her own beauty and she is using her renown to make herself a harlot. The fine robes of Christendom are being used to cover a couch for harlotry in this day just as in times past with Israel who did so. (Ezekiel 16:30-34)
God will punish this harlot just as He will punish another who is also sweeping great numbers of people away from God to the devil. This harlot is a daughter exulting her mother, the one most bold and saucy, openly impudent. Both these harlots suit the purposes of Satan , the anti-Christ and the false prophet. But they are not alike. Despite the sins of harlot Church, God in His punishment wants to draw back to Him all His Christians who have apostatized from Him.
Alliances with the world and with demons have lead to Christendom in this hour which is very much complacent and rebellious. Not all have apostatized. But all will suffer in Christendom, both good and bad, as God’s people will be purified as precious metals are purified in a fiery furnace.
I write what I must in Christ. The testimony I give enrages the devil who plots a war of many different strategies. He does not want you to look at what he has done. He does not want you to see the real vastness of his maneuvering. He does not want you to see his far reaching schemes. If he has his way you will never even consider the real truth of his infiltration into Christendom.
The trumpet of God is sounding! Wake up! This is the greatest of wars being fought. There is much to be done. Woe to any ranking officers who are derelict with God’s rebuke and His call and trust that He, God Almighty, gives to them!
The call to lamentation and to repentance is being given. Hear it and heed it. Be a Christian true to God in this hour of great testing, and of God’s restoration. There are so many voices to choose from, yet you must choose right. Pray as you must pray, with a pure heart, open to God. Discern as you must discern, based on true doctrine and not false doctrine. And do not fail to be with God in this hour.
You must not be taken in by a religion of convenience. You must not take God lightly. All of us, we must do everything He has asks us to do. We must prayerfully repent of our sins and then want to obey God as He deserves to be obeyed. We must have an obedient love of God.
Our battle is not against each other. Our battle is against the powers of darkness which already have the upper hand because we have allowed it to happen.
The devil tried hard to get our Blessed Mother( who stands for the people of God in Rev. 12) to sin. But she was protected from the forces of evil as she used the graces of God given to her. Enraged at her escape, the dragon makes war on the rest of her offspring, those of us in Christ, her boy, who not only give witness to Jesus, but who give a true witness by keeping God’s commandments. (Rev. 12:17) We too are protected from the forces of evil if we use the graces of God given to us. But we, unlike Mary, the mother of God and our mother, have fallen into sin at some point and remain vulnerable. Let us use God’s grace given to us.
Will you come before the Lord with a divided heart? Will you cling to the doctrines of demons and reject the rebuke of the Lord? It is a matter of whether or not you will be faithful to Christ or faithless to Him.
“The beast was allowed to wage war against God’s people and conquer them.” (Rev. 13:7)
The power of the risen Christ will ever sustain those who are truly His. (Matt.28:18-20)
Abba, I ask you for mercy, and for your people so misled to be able to hear the truth and have a chance to either reject it or accept it. Please give them the chance to repent and to be forgiven by You.
Lord, in so many ways we have strayed from your plan of salvation. Please let your people caught up in the great apostasy have the chance of repentance and forgiveness for all the evils which have been done in your sight. I ask this through the Cross of your Son Jesus Christ.
May the Holy Spirit fall upon us in such a way that we cannot help but have new and pure hearts. Heal us oh Lord!
Called by God in this hour to give prophetic witness to Christ Jesus,
your brother, Eddie
